As part of the research project B06, Nicolas Grünfelder is investigating the use of microstructure-driven components to accommodate multiphysical load cases in the application of the engine-tail interface.
By developing suitable multi-scale optimization methods, these components, modeled in high-fidelity and mid-fidelity, are optimized for static, dynamic, thermal and acoustic load combinations.
